Last week, Ryan Ritchie of the LA Times wrote a short article on Salinas, California. The city is located about 18 miles from coastal Monterey, home of miles of beaches, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Pebble Beach Golf Course, and a plethora of high quality seafood restaurants.
Salinas became popular as the birth place of author John Steinbeck who won the Nobel Prize in Literature and the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. He is most famously known for his novels The Grapes of Wrath, East of Eden and Of Mice and Men.
